License Overview

	Edge One™ License displays the existing license information and allows to activate and revoke usage licenses

This guide provides an overview of the features and operation of the Edge One™ License module, which includes:

1. Trial License describes the features of the basic trial license.
2. Activation used to activate a license.
3. Revoke, which allows to revoke a license.

License Activation

This section describes the procedures to activate a subscription license and a perpetual license.

Subscription License Activation

To active a subscription license:

1. Place a purchase order to CloudPlugs or a CloudPlugs reseller or system integration partner for the required number of licenses.
2. CloudPlugs or the partner will deliver to you the license code(s).
3. Enter the license code in the License Details input panel.
4. Click on Activate License.
5. Click on Yes.
6. If the code is accepted, the license will be activated and the license Activation Code, Activation Date and Expiration Date will be displayed.

Perpetual License Activation

To activate a perpetual license:

1. Place a purchase order to CloudPlugs or a CloudPlugs reseller or system integration partner for the required number of licenses.
2. CloudPlugs or the partner will deliver to you a perpetual license activation code(s). Activation codes for perpetual licenses start with the letter p.
3. Enter the machine code under License Details along with the activation code in the License Manager in your CloudPlugs IoT account to generate the perpetual license file.
4. Enter the activation code in the Edge One™ License Details input panel.
5. Click on Upload license file.
6. Click on Yes to proceed with the license file upload and the license activation.
7. If the file is accepted, the license will be activated and the perpetual license Activation Date and Expiration Date will be displayed.

License Revocation

Edge One™ subscription licenses can be revoked and re-used in another machine. To revoke a license:

1. Click on Revoke license.
2. If the license has not expired, it can be re-used in another machine.
3. The Edge One™ whose license has been revoked will no longer operate unless another subscription or perpetual license is configured.
4. The Edge One™ whose license has been revoked will not return to Trial license even if the trial license period had not expired when the license was activated.
