1. Datastore Overview

Datastore The Edge One™ Platform Datastore Module allows the storage of Edge One™ project data into one or more local databases or datastores.

The Edge One™ Datastore module is supplied as a container that enables the storage of Edge One™ project data into one or more local databases. It provides organizations with the capability of having the device data locally for edge analytics applications or for applications that require Offline operations.

The following databases are supported:

  1. Cassandra
  2. InfluxDB
  3. MongoDB
  4. MySQL
  5. PostgreSQL
  6. SQLite 3
  7. SQL Server

At the time of the publication, only InfluxDB version 1 is available as a container in the CloudPlugs IoT Container Registry.

InfluxDB version 2 and the other databases can be installed and configured based on the project needs. You can refer to the documentation of the individual databases to see the available installation methods. Only experienced container and database users should package the databases as containers for deployment through the CloudPlugs IoT Container Registry.

You may use the Grafana Data Visualizer for visual analytics of the data stored in the database selected.

The configuration guide for the Edge One™ Datastore module is here.
